Hoorah, it's finally the festival season... last month we had a busy time supporting the Bury Fringe Festival - and by all accounts it was an astounding success. In July we'll be continuing the local festival theme in Thurston, then in August we'll be lighting up the Main Stage at Fordham Festival. If you see us out and about, come and say hello.

Bury Fringe Festival

Do you know about Bury Fringe Festival?
From May 1st CEG Productions will be supporting a fortnight of entertainment, comedy, music and theatre in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. The festival includes performances from Edinburgh Fringe veteran - Mackenzie Taylor, Sting tribute band - 'The Sting', and long-time company favourite - 'The Lullabys'.
Performances during the Fringe will be taking place at Benson Blakes, The Hunter Club, Unitarian Meeting House, as well as other intimate venues in Bury. Some big news hit the office last week, we've been nominated for our first award! We got the heads up from Enterprise UK, who are running the 'Enterprising Young Brits' awards, which is supported by the Institute of Directors and the Daily Mail.

CEG Lights Up Wymondham College

This is a quick note to say we've been really hard at work over the last couple of months. Just last night we finished lamps for the Wymondham College production of 'Hairspray'.
In February, we also worked on the Thurston Community College production of 'Disco Inferno' - providing digital sound, lighting, technician time and production assistance.
Lighting Update

So what's been happening here at CEG Productions since we last blogged back at New Year. Well as per usual, a lot!
We've recently added a significant investment to our lighting hire stock, with the addition of Robe ColourSpot & ColourWash AT Series in 250 and 575 varieties.

2010 News

Wow, what a year!
2010 is pretty much upon us and what a 12 months it has been here at CEG Productions. We've been working with existing and new customers alike, working on many exciting jobs and proving the recession wrong by having year-on-year growth.
With the New Year comes changes and this year is no exception. The government will once again be changing the rate of VAT from 15%, back to the original 17.5%. This effect will take place on January 1st and will have an impact for all of our customers. For anybody who received quotations in November and December of 2009 then the rate of VAT quoted was at 15% - as a kind gesture we will be honouring that rate with a 2.5% discount when those bookings are confirmed. If you have any questions about VAT, please don't hesitate to contact us.
2010 will be bringing us new opportunities and challenges - we're currently really excited about some new projects that are in the pipeline for the coming year. Unfortunately for the time being we have to keep these under wraps, but we'll let you know as soon as we can.
Well that leaves me to say only one thing - Happy New Year!

The last few months have been pretty busy here at CEG Productions, so sorry for the lack of updates!
As ever we're investing heavily in our hire fleet, as well as offering a professional and valued service to our customers. Recently we have seen that our customers have specificially appreciated our delivery and set-up/take-down services for all types of staging including Steel, Metro & Ali-Deck - all starting from £20 per week.
You can also see us out and about this month at The Arc in Bury St Edmunds supporting a local band - The Lullabys, check them out.
Christmas is fast approaching - so we hope you have a good festive season and we look forward to releasing an updated new hire list and packages listing in the new year.

Epiphany was a huge success in both Luton & Ipswich as has been numerous other events over the last few weeks. Ebay Opening

RWSfm Fashion Show

Well done to Radio West Suffolk presenters and volunteers for Thursday night's fashion show. Many audience members we spoke to thoroughly enjoyed it, and we hope you all enjoyed not only our stage lighting but architectural lighting too.
